The Kpayelo Youth Development Network from Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State has paid a courtesy visit to the State Ministry of Youth Development in Ilorin yesterday.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu, who received the delegation, appreciated the youth-friendly disposition of the Executive Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, noting that the administration remains fully committed to empowering young people across the State.
The Commissioner commended the group for their initiative and assured them of continuous synergy between the Ministry and youth organizations.
He emphasized that the Ministry remains open to collaboration with youth-led groups as part of ongoing efforts to build a productive, peaceful, and progressive Kwara.
“The present administration places premium value on youth inclusion and development and we are proud of young people like you who are taking bold steps to organize themselves for the growth of their communities. Be assured that more programmes and opportunities are coming for the youths of Kwara,” Ndanusa stated.
In his remarks, the President of the association, Comrade Usman Yunusa, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for his leadership and active involvement in youth-related matters, especially his commitment to uniting and carrying along the youths from Edu LGA.
Earlier, the Acting Permanent Secretary and Director of Personnel, Finance, and Supply of the Ministry, Hajia Okanla Kuburat Atinuke, appreciated the delegation for the courtesy visit.She urged the association to remain united and focused, emphasizing that teamwork and collaboration are key ingredients for sustainable success as an organization.
Also speaking, the Director of Youth, Alhaji AbdulSalam Akeem, commended the group for their initiative and encouraged them to continue engaging in meaningful programmes that will promote peace, entrepreneurship, and community development.
“The Ministry recognizes your efforts and will continue to support youth-driven projects that align with the vision of the State government. Keep up the good work and be ambassadors of positive change,” he advised.
