At the 2025 third-quarter(Q3) Inter-Ministerial Press Briefing, the Kwara State Ministry of Youth Development has highlighted the landmark achievements recorded under the visionary leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) between April and September 2025.
Presenting the achievements, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu, emphasized the administration’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, capacity building, and community development.
During the period under review, the Ministry provided extensive support to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programmes including meal subsidies for three orientation batches, the purchase of 500 mattresses and 250 double bunks, fumigation of the Yikpata camp, and the completion of its perimeter fencing.
In furtherance of youth inclusion and moral reorientation, annual subventions were released to several voluntary youth organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Brigades, Scouts Associations, Man O’ War, and others.
The Ministry also provided financial backing for national representation and training programmes, reinforcing Kwara’s presence at major youth engagements across Nigeria.
Amb. Ndanusa reaffirmed that these efforts reflect Governor AbdulRazaq’s continued drive to build a generation of empowered, productive, and responsible young Kwarans, positioning the State as a model for youth-focused governance in Nigeria.
